You Want To Interview With Confidence And Ease But...

Interviews can feel hard. You have to be ‘on’ and you only have a few minutes to showcase an entire career - how do you distil all that expertise?
You want to sound professional and confident but not oversell yourself or your skills and come across as arrogant - it’s a really hard line to walk.
The opening and closing of an interview are never easy, especially if you have not met the interviewer(s) before. It’s easy to stumble around and come across as vague or awkward.
This is the third interview at this level and the pressure is mounting. The other two have not gone well and your confidence is feeling shaky.
This role is a level up and you aren’t feeling 100% certain that you really can do the position justice, self doubt and imposter syndrome are starting to creep in.

Interviews are difficult if you don’t know how to navigate them. You have a few moments to impress people you may not have met before. You want to be confident and authentic but not start behaving like you think you are a legend in your own living room!

It’s hard to navigate the feelings of inadequacy that can surface in the moments before you interview. The moments of panic you can feel if you don’t know the answers to questions that you feel you ‘should’. Or if you begin to answer a question and then doubt that you are answering the right question half way through.

How do you demonstrate humility and drive at the same time?

It’s hard to preempt all the curve-ball questions that might arise and trip you up. Fear of those coming up can paralyze you into just not applying.

After all, this is sounding like hard work and that question of “am I really capable”
