Welcome to a new Mini-Series on Networking.
If you are a virtual networker I have some bad news, nobody wants to hear your 60-second pitch. The human habit of looking for and noticing patterns means that it becomes really hard to for us to concentrate on other people 60 seconds, especially if they are 12th or 15th or 18th person to speak.
But I have some really good news too!
There are 3 things you can do to help your message land and to be remembered for the right reasons!
No 1 – Break their guessing machines. Say something different at the beginning of your pitch that breaks the normal pattern.
Whatever you say must make sense by the end of your 60 seconds otherwise you’ll leave your listeners frustrated. So break the pattern and then fix it.
Tip. no 2 coming next.
Take care.
