Start with a Fundamental Truth…

When we want to make a connection with our audience, Sarah Horowitz, the speech writer for the Obhama’s, say we need to start with a fundamental truth and build out from there.

She says, it may be slightly uncomfortable to say out loud, and if it is then you can be sure you are near to a fundamental truth.

When we say something that is truthful to us, our audience will see and hear it in our body and our voice. They will feel that they are getting to know and like you and that will move them towards trusting you.

People want to do business with people they feel share the same values as themeselves.

What are the fundamental truths about you, your business and your organisation? What fundamental truth could you speak today?
