I love those pencil drawings in just black and white.

I think they are really striking, especially when they are portraits or architectural in nature. They just work. The style and the content fit.

Now, try to imagine a beautiful garden filled with glorious flowers – the pencil drawing doesn’t quite work as well. The style and content don’t work.

If, like the pencil drawing, we only use our voice in one way, have one style of speaking our message is only going to land a very small percentage of the time. Learning to use all the colours of our voice, to be as expressive as possible, gives us so much more opportunity for each and every message to land with our chosen audience.
